It's finally feeling like winter around here. We got a first snow fall of the year and had a great time outside. Our new driveway and yard are flat, so it was easy (and kid friendly!) shoveling. It was dreamy for me to not have to say (and feel my blood pressure rise with worry), "Don't go near that wall....Stay away from the stairs....Don't go so close to the street." Somehow I missed the Handsome Man in my picture taking; probably because he doesn't shovel long...he's off playing after the first few scoops of snow. Ben was even able to come shovel! (I should have gotten a picture of that too.)
Afterwards, the little two had some very serious discussions on the phone...

Recovery
These days are over for Ben (thankfully!) but I realized I never posted this picture. This is that 4 hour a daymachine that bent his knee. He was eventually able to read to the Princess while sitting there. She thought that was great fun.

Update...
Just some random updates from our house...
- The Little Guy brought us a gift to share...the stomach bug. So nice of him, right? The bug took it's time going through the house one by one last week. I thought the Munchkin was spared, but alas, she is home from school today with a stomach ache.
- We don't know much about the Little Guy's future. He's been here a week and I don't even know who is social worker is. Maybe they'll just forget about him and leave him here. :)
- Ben feels like he's turned a corner with his knee. He's pretty much not using his crutches anymore and is in much less pain. So thankful.

A Late Night Welcome
Last night, at 10PM, we welcomed a new little foster boy into our home. We'll call him The Little Guy. He's almost 2 (in March) and super cute. I can't share many details about his story on here but his parents loved him enough to chose not to care for him during their own difficult time. We are so blessed to have him here and I'm already hoping he stays a long time. He fits in perfectly with our family. So, welcome home, Little Guy!
