All moved in

We're finally all moved in. It was quite amazing to see all our belongings in piles and piles of boxes. Today was recycling day and it was a glorious site to see lots and lots and lots of boxes at the curb. We still have a lot of unpacking to do but we're making progress. We even bought our first can of paint yesterday. The Munchkin picked a very lime green (Key Lime, actually) for the girls' room. I think it'll look nice with pink, and it does match their bedding.  We also got the Handsome Man some bedding so we can start picking a color for his room next. We pretty much need to paint every wall in the house so we'll just be going one room at a time.

Speaking of which, I DO have pictures of the new house in my camera. But, alas, I do not the ability to post them for you.  For one, the electric in the house needs to be updated so that I can plug in my computer. (The short explanation is that I have only found 1 three prong outlet--which is in the kitchen and not really in a usable spot--needed for my laptop. So basically, I can't use my computer.) Electrician is coming Monday. :)Second, we still have no internet access.Verizon is no longer on strike but the first appointment we could get for them to set up internet is September 6th.

Right now, we're visiting my parents to take a little break from unpacking and get some beach time in. (And, of course, check email, read blogs, facebook, etc.) We've also been learning that a major hurricane named Irene is on her way to pummel the East Coast. Apparently the state is asking everyone who is vacationing to go home tomorrow; we'll listen and get home. We're thinking we'll probably get some water in the basement with the storm so we'll move some things around and be prepared.
